In a real world, jobs aren't handed out.
One applies for a job, as the need/desire arises.
Some people are re-deployed, and such people needs-must have a job to go to.
Some people happen to be in an advantageous position to apply for the next job, etc, etc.
People switch jobs for a multitude of reasons. Jobs are allocated for a number of reasons.

I am not really a conspiracy theorist but it appears that the democrats don't want to win the election.
Why would they pick a coffin dodger like sleepy Joe biden to run for president,
Could be a ploy to get Kamala the job as Potus,if Joe gets elected and has to retire early then Kamala will take over.
To be fair to Donald Trump, although he talks tough, unlike previous incumbents of the White House he hasn't started any real wars yet, which is a good thing.

That is a fair point, i think politics is not like any other profession were ability can be more easily measured.
In politics someone can go to university and do a degree in political science and then put themselves up for election, but come election day voters won't give him or her the job simply because they just don't like what they say or the way they look.
