This is very accurate. I went to the trouble of doing a literature GCSE and and English A-level some years ago but I'm afraid, many on here know better.

Surely there are books on English grammar.

I don't see how reading 'books' would be helpful in itself.
How would you know if they were correctly written as far as the grammar is concerned?

I agree. Reading improves grammar and vocabulary. Reading and writing will yield the greatest improvement.

There is no shortcut way to improve.

Or use an app' like Word that shows your spelling mistakes and potential grammar mistakes.
And even better ways to phrase your sentences.

I knew someone who done crosswords all day long, he was very good at them. He was also very good at arguing as he always knew the right word to use.

So start doing cross words.

My export job consists of convincing Africans to buy our product so my emails have to be clear and concise. Word processing an email on Outlook before sending it is something I enjoy - I constantly ask myself: "Is that clear to the reader?"
