Incorrect Speed Limit Change Signage?

I must get a new highway code, as rules have changed. I know the route to England, there are side roads which have signs which can be miss read, making one think that you're in a 30 when in a 50, and it is so easy to get it wrong.

But I can pedal my bike down hill at 30 MPH and overtake the cars, but once on the flat and only doing 15 MPH they can't overtake me because the road not wide enough to give me the space required by law. 1.5 meters is a lot of space on single track road.

That last bit is a problem everywhere that you have narrow, single track roads. If everyone followed that rule to the letter, nobody would ever be able to overtake a cyclist on the single track roads round here.
