Exactly. Easier to place some gold coins in a pillow case and keep touching it.

Interactive investor. Or trading 212 etc.

Some have a monthly fee some get you on the spread.

For my UK investments I use Interactive investor. For my US e*trade.

Interactive investor is ok. Monthly fees are a bit high. But on a 5k starter with regular deposits. Is probably irrelevant

Some places will sell you gold and "keep it safe for you" no fanks i will ave it if you Don't mind
