They often don't seem to think of that. It's a bit like the infamous Holmslaw posts. Although he religiously turned all his posts to ".." before he vanished, many of his mutterings live on as quotes in other people's posts!

Maybe, but whatever you call it, he's just making a fool of himself, for no apparent purpose. It's a great pity to see him behaving like this in a thread which, despite what one might expect, started off with a fair bit of concern about, and 'support' for, him.

I probably should have written "Looks like Johnmelad could have faked it".

The problem is that apart from memories, there is no proof that I did write it.

I can't remember what else I wrote, I can't be sure, and neither can anybody else, that Johnmelad hasn't taken something out of context.

If the mods deem that a post is unacceptable, and remove it, then they should be duty bound to also remove any quotes. People find it easy to misconstrue what gets written, and some, like Johnmelad, delight in doing it willfully because they aren't happy unless they are taking a pop at me.

I strongly suspect that 'his choice' would have included removal of all the quotes from his posts in other people's ones - but he obviously didn't have a means of editing other people's posts! Whatever, I was merely pointing out that the bottom line of what we're seeing here (original post removed or edited-out, but quotes from that message persisting in other people's posts) is not an unknown phenomenon.
