I’ll do the logical thinking if you promise that you will use your expert maths hahahahaha:D:!::sneaky:(n)o_O think you need to go back to school mate !
Go on then, what percentage is 2 of 100? Just an approximate guess. (approx 100million cases, and approx 2 million deaths)
What is 80 (your figure) minus 2? (Asymptomatic cases - deaths)
Are the remainder of 80-2 the symptomatic infected patients who recover? If not what happens to them?

No we will go with your maths ya know give or take a few thousand. Come to think of it you have made yourself look a complete tit by doing exactly the same as the media and just basing your facts on approximations.

Right, so, are you saying the hospitals are overwhelmed but this is because they have only ~25% the staff numbers they should have?

The staff of some wards will be moved, so that ward will be empty.

Covid 19 wards are heavily manned compared to other wards.

Many staff are missing due to having caught Covid 19, or having to isolate,

Many wards will not have the necessary infrastructure to be run as a Covid 19 ward, ie. ventilators.

2 % of 96 million is 1,920,000 Einstein but hey ho what’s 80 thousand people between friends hahaha. Let’s just base everything on approximations like yourself ( oh and the media)

That’s ok they can just use the ventilators from all the empty nightingale hospitals then? Or are you now going to say they are immovable :Do_O:LOL:

There has been 2.6 million deaths worldwide and 86% of people with Covid don’t have symptoms so that leaves only 14 % of people have symptoms.
You work it out
OK It's 13,440,000 infected people who have had symptoms, but have recovered.
Now where did you get the figure of 80% from? You were asked, but you didn't respond.

Quite. What's 80,000 in 13,440,000?
Not worth worrying about unless one of your family or friends are included in that 13,440,000.

Are you at last accepting that there are 96,000,000 cases of Covid? But it's all a conspiracy?
The 2.6 million people were not in hospitals when they died, and the 13.4 million infected magically recovered without hospitalisation?
Are we getting somewhere at last?

The end bit of the ventilator, the mask, might be movable, but the oxygen pipework that it has to connect to is kind of fixed.
Are you being contacted by all the rest of the plumbers, asking you to drop the 'plumber' suffix from your username? You're giving plumbers a bad reputation.
You are clearly incapable of logical thinking, and your maths ability is non-existent. So I'm wondering just what is your forte?

They are actually dated ones that no one really wants to use. As was reported ages ago actually.

Clearly there are more modern ones about now compared with wave 1 and alternatives which also appeared in wave 1.

Numbers needing them are higher now - staff levels??? work it out for yourself. Some hospitals have found that they can't get sufficient oxygen through their plumbing ( ;) sorry couldn't help that ) even when they take steps to limit wastage. This is before lower numbers need ventilations. ICU occupancy is much lower

Some people who are suitable and in a bad way may get full lung support from a machine. Some aren't due to availability. Generally very young and fit. People who would normally not have any problem with it - under 30 and suitable.

For numbers that have had it look here
https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopula...vid19infectionsinthecommunityinengland/latest

Then bear in mind that "immunity" doesn't last and 10% of all that catch it and need hospitalisation finish up with long covid. That is not just the old and some that didn't get there may figure as well. A favourite for long covid is not being able to walk very far recovery being uncertain. There are others.

They are currently vaccinating 20% + of the population, ;) Not seen all of your sums but get the impression they suggest that there should be no need.

Just like yesterday, you are failing to answer questions. I’ll ask again, WHERE DID YOU GET THAT INFORMATION?
No need to shout...

There is a similar article here ...

"86% of people who tested positive for Covid-19 during lockdown did not have virus symptoms (cough, and/or fever, and/or loss of taste/smell), finds a study by UCL researchers. The authors say a more widespread testing programme is needed to catch ‘silent’ transmission."
