What laws do you think work well in a foreign land that you think would work well in the UK.

Small or big all are welcome.

Example: In Sweden the cars have their lights on day and night. The amount of cars I see with no lights on a dark dinge raining afternoon amaze me.

I am not a fan of daylight running lights but they do slove the problem of dark afternoons.

I heard once (don't know if true) that the reason for the Swedish law is they have a lot of forest roads where it's quite dark - presumably not in Stockholm, though.
Maybe they just know people are stupid and don't turn on their lights when they should.

Many cars now have automatic headlight switching. I leave mine on auto constantly

They come on if driving through a road with dense tree canopy, and Ive started to see the pattern in other cars
