Liz Truss Said

LOL Don't worry. We are going to be a net exporter of energy. Even more so when we all insulate our homes or are they assuming all will? It will or should bring in some corporation tax even when we buy energy.

2 years subsidy does provide time to get some sources up and running. What does a political 2 years mean though. The rest of this one and another or 2 full years from now? The situation with Russia might change over that length of time. Biden has an idea that he thinks could bring prices down from all sources if he can dictate what Russia can do. Cap their prices effectively but if lower than other sources what will they do?
Are you on the correct thread?

Cool, discussion is good.

I'm ok with where I am at for now thanks.
Yeah, discussion is good. Problem is, they won't be asking you whether you like or want any of these things.

It seems you are quite happy marinating in the propaganda, good luck to you.

The problems with being in the EU and a decnt beneficial result very probably relates to SME's even retail. It was having some effect but a lot more would help a lot.

We can't suddenly create a VW so SME's are a better option hoping some will grow. Some studies reckon their main problem was underfunding. There was a rash of foreclosure reports in the news at one point that came across as banks playing games with them. Encouraging them to overstretch.

Say they grow in a spectacular fashion. These days they may get bought out. Boat rockers of any sort often are. Then there is competitive buy outs. All they are after is a companies sales business.

What Boris was at. One giga battery factory dependent on some one coming up with a good battery here and another wanting an existing company to make them here. Why - Nissan and probably Toyota so they can export to the EU without tariffs.

Britain needs to get away from the privatised university model.

This country needs to massively invest in vocational training and grants should be given to the industries
Yes. And not just government investment. There should be encouragement for the general public to invest in British industry. I believe that the German public invest much of their savings in German company shares - while we put our equivalent in things like building societies.
I would like to see a professional qualification for builders.....those that build extensions etc.
No. There should be far less building. Building should be discouraged. We have too many buildings already and too many under construction. I am sick of builders and buildings. There should be more emphasis on engineering and science in schools and for school leavers.

Au contraire! There should be far more house building, We have a housing crisis with far too many people living in sub-standard over-priced housing, far too many people living in temporary accommodation, and far too little labour mobility because of a lack of affordable housing. If you are so keen on the German model, you also need to take on board that many young Germans rent accommodation until they are into their thirties or forties, then buy a house. That way they have the ability to change jobs and move, which is far better for the economy. And if you want to have somewhere for all these engineers and scientists to live - then you'll have to put up with builders and building. Or do you think engineers and scientists should live in tents?

Andy has strange views. On a spectrum, I think.
