London Attack

Trying to think of something witty to close this thread with but fortunately got some diarrhea coming from this evenings dinner so laterz all it's been emotional.

When you do first on scene training, you learn to "interview" helpers. If they have no skills you tell them to keep an eye out for the ambulance or warn if there are problems approaching (e.g. other cars that haven seen the problem). If they are better qualified than you - you hand over and ask what they want you to do.

With everyone basically following the same script you don't normally have any confusion. Also people filming are useful too. Numberplates, faces all useful to the police later. One of the biggest regrets I had when I attended a fatal was not taking photos before leaving the scene, one vehicle snuck off before the police arrived. I was busy stopping people from talking to each other getting their stories straight, it was a busy motorway and traffic was moving by as we were doing cpr on a corps

I don't want to sound preachy, but if you take one thing away - go learn first aid, CPR, first on scene etc so you could be useful if you are near next time.

I guess you must have done some extensive studies of security services and their methods worldwide, it will be interesting to see your findings

I seem to remember that the Tunisian security forces took almost an hour to reach the beach attack back in 2015, and they were accused of deliberatly dawdling and holding back from getting there.

Well its a start I suppose, there are over 190 countries in the world, according to woody they all lag the UK in emergency response

I recall 6 of the police officers in 2015 attack were charged with offences equiv. to neglect of duty. But they argued they had to go back to the station to get guns and bullet proof vests.

This might actually be down to SOP's. Standard Operating Procedures, or what's commonly known as 'the rule book'.

Only a tabloid journalist could possibly incite a fool into thinking that cowardice was involved.

Yeah really.

The ******* that done it had a full muzzy beard and was of "African appearance" though. They even tried their best to save him, which I haven't been able to process just yet.
Is that different to an ordinary beard then?

Usually without a moustache.

Don't know why Alan lets them shave that bit.
Just one more thing which doesn't make sense.
