Long live Boris

Blimey

Ultimately you can blame the party members who thought it was a jolly good idea to vote in corbyn as Leader of HM opposition

End result Johnson ends up with an 80 seat majority

After the electorate was given the choice of voting for buffoon Johnson or buffoon corbyn to form government

Than he gets slung out the party by his perceived mates

One of which was Starmer

Any government having a massive majority is not imo a good thing ???

Any way putin and the Russians will be pleased that Johnson has clung on :)

If Boris Johnson disappeared tomorrow, can any one name a single Tory or Labour politician who could replace him.
Boris is only a bad prime minister until you think of the alternatives.

If Johnson disappeared tomorrow

The vacancy would be filled.

It can only be a Tory. As for who could replace him, literally anyone in the Tory party can that's the problem. Any Tory MP installed at the moment would do about as well.

It's not as if he's got the full trust and support of his party or any particular personal brilliance. The Tories don't want to go through months of painful fighting in public to decide the replacement. Because there's no clear replacement/improvement available the fighting will be long bloody and very public.

Johnson was never much liked by Tory MPs, they knew he was an incompetent liar

the knives are out and staying out

Yet they chose him to lead them. Why - was it because they disliked all others more?

This'll all be forgotten in a week or two.

You could be right, his main support from was from Tory party membership and the public.
Jeremy Hunt is positioning himself for a leadership bid, if successful that could spell the end for the Tories, he didn't shine in any of his ministerial roles.
I doubt much will happen for a while now, maybe an FPN for Kier and Angela.

They only winged the buggr. Half-arsd coup that went off half-cocked and simply wounded a lame duck PM. They really should've waited for the results of the by-elections in Wakefield and in Honiton, where Labour and the Libs will surely make substantial gains.
Now we're in for a summer of speculation and rumour leading up to the Party Conference in the autumn. I don't expect his situation will have improved at all by then.
