Inevitable, you can’t play brinkmanship for ever when you have an empty gun.

ECJ retains oversight NI
UK has backed away from triggering A16….which it was never going to do.

F**k,F**k,F**k,F**k,F**k,F**k,F**k,F**k,F**k,F**kF**k,

I wasn't expecting that. Two choices now, cave in to the EU or walk away, cancel the existing terms and just go WTO. I think it needs to be the latter.

Good thing too, he's a useless effing idiot.

Just the sort of Brexer that Johnson had to scrape from the bottom of the barrel.

I wonder what he was caught doing.

My guess is that it’s because the next phase of border checks start Jan 2022, after a year of threatening A16 his position would become untenable - Brexit supporters will be very angry that checks will commence.

Customs declaration changes: the next phase starts 1 January 2022

16 December 2021

Post-Brexit changes to Customs declaration procedures have been phased in to reduce the immediate impact for businesses and the next phase takes effect from 1 January 2022

After more than five years, they have been unable to achieve the promised "easiest deal in history."

When Johnson said "Oven Ready Deal" the voters who believed him were conned.

Poor, sad, angry Brexers.

Not at all upset, eh?

He cited the direction of the government as the reason for his resignation, or maybe lack of direction would be a better description.
Also concerns that elements in the government are softening their stance in negotiations with the EU.
Maybe he doesn't want to be left looking like a wally by talking tough one moment, only to have the rug pulled from under his feet by those who want to surrender to the EU.

We have John, that's why your European friends are so angry.
Get yourself over there laddie, the general population just think Brexers are amusing nutters. You take far too much notice of those right wing rags. Have you ever wondered why they relentlessly devote so much time to "on the brink" Euro headlines to their column space? It's to keep the ruddy colour going in angry white middle aged English male jowls, like yourself.

Take no notice of Europe boyo, we left - you won. Lol.

To be fair, he did offer to resign at the beginning of the month, thereby leaving Boris a month to find a replacement, and negotiate a new deal, over what Boris and Frost (and all the others before them) have failed to do in five years.
I'm guessing he wanted out asap, and before the 1st January so that he could avoid taking all the flak. But Boris persuaded him to stay on until after the next phase starts (so there was someone to carry the can) but Frost didn't want to be the fall guy. So he cooked up an excuse to go early, a whole fortnight early.

When you look at his qualifications he did look like the best candidate to lead the negotiations, he has a !st in European Medieval history and Medieval French. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
And while he worked in Nicosia he learned Greek.

His best real achievement (apart from opposing the Working Time Directive) appears to have occurred after he left the Diplomatic Service, when he headed up the Scottish Whisky Association. I'm not sure he actually achieved anything of real worth though.
I guess he's best described as the "company man" that never actually achieved anything.

What we are seeing is the sovereignty lie reach the end of the road.

Brexit supporters were told brexit would “get back control” without responsibility or compromise.

The “scrap article 16” lie is now exposed so Frost had to go.
