Metal light switch’s with no earth

Hmm not a bad idea! Didn’t no they existed I shall look into them!
I'm afraid they're pricier than they once were, and you still need to mount the receiver relay in a location that's reasonably accessible, in case it breaks down.
Suggested partly in jest, I'm sure most people, to avoid hassle, would stick to simple plastic switches! :)

Is the earth terminal to park the earth wire, as regulations say it must be terminated, or to earth the switch? Both the metal front 1740398100695.jpeg and the plastic front 1740398563036.png there is an earth terminal. In both cases a small wire going into the body, wonder if used instead of the neutral? The recess for the screw is that deep, the front chrome faceplate will not be earthed. 1740399103760.jpeg Seen together 1740399198948.png so there is no difference between the metal face and plastic face. There is no double insulated marked on either.

It seems there are a few switches that can be remotely mounted. But something will need an earth.
