Need a battery powered sander is dewalt multi tool good enough

Cant decide whether to get the dewalt battery multi tool for outside sanding or the battery powered sander only? Which is better?

if you have say a bit off furniture and plenty off time eventually it will get done no good for large areas
the sander you choose is dependent on average use

Scrapped out small holes which needs feathering out on masonry. External doors, fascia boards etc etc taking the sharp edge off bench slats

Only has a tiny sanding area , you will need a dedicated sander .

You would be far better off sticking with corded.
An external door should be removed imo.
And benched in the workshop if you want quality results.

Ok so I take it they are rubbish Sanders but are they useful for other stuff? I am going to fit laminate soon which will be higher than previous stuff i had

Masonry requires specialist sanding pads.
The cheaper ones are silicon carbide.
The more expensive ones are diamond.

they are a brilliant tool for cutting into confined areas and also flat to a surface that can can also sand so dont think useless tool
