I’ve never used one, but as per @Hugh Jaleak, 4”rubber hasn’t failed me much, only when the main drain is blocked.
I think they should be - I’ve never tried them but I’m sure a plumber can tell you.
If your renting then get the landlord/ owner to sort it out

Those should be ok for what you need to do. Ensure the Plunger is securely attached before getting too excited with it, but equally you're trying to create some 'bow waves' of water behind the blockage to move it, doesn't need to be so vigorous as to risk breaking the WC Pan!
Yes, Plunge the Pan, that's the narrowest point in the whole system usually, if its an upstairs WC I'd be very surprised if the stack is blocked.

I will follow your guidance if i buy a this as there has been some improvement today. Ideally i dont need to buy the rod set and plunger but if i do i know what to do.
This morning I flushed away the 2 bottles of bleach i left in the toilet overnight? It did not make any improvement. I then poured a kitchen bin of about 40L of water, this seems to have made a difference. I wont know until i go for another pooh. I still get a tiny bit of coloured water at the bottom of the bowl but it is very slight.

Hi mate thanks for your reply. It has always been feeble and i have to give it a fast forceful flush of the handle and hold to get it to flush.
I might not have let the cistern fill with that last flush so here is another video, i adjusted the water level until it was 1/2" below the top of the overflow.
I discovered that the handle screw was loose going onto the square shaft. So the handle works better now. Hopefully this looks a little better and i made sure the cistern was full.

It still looks long and slow. You shouldn't need to be forceful, just turn the handle and it should do the rest. All the handle does, is release the syphon, which should continue until the tank is empty, unless you have a half flush option. Mine has one, where if you hold the handle down, it does a half flush - press, immediately release it does a full flush.
Sounds like you have a syphon flush with a damaged/worn diaphragm which needs replacing. Perhaps the diaphragm is partially blocking the syphon pipe section above it and restricting the flow?
