NHS job cuts

Surprising, definitely.

I suspect it will end up an expensive rebrand.

Streeting's doing what he said he would do all along, I quite respect him for that.

Perhaps respect is too strong a word, he's less irritating than the others.

The nhs and the public sector generally is obsessed by policy, huge numbers of staff do little else than eat drink and sleep it. A lot of that is caused by politicians treating the nhs as a political football with constant changes in top down policies. And its also down to nhs executives who are basically political appointments charged with making nhs england look like an arms length body. Moving them to the civil service is surely another example of a policy change that will keep the pen pushers busy. Better than privatisation but the issue is still about money.

Undoing the Tory meddling, which was a huge mistake.

But I can't see this going well.

We should have moved to the France model when we had the chance in 2001.
