NICEIC certificate.

Hi all,

I had some work carried out be a NICEIC registered electrician, and after testing the new circuit etc, he told me that I'd receive a certificate from NICEIC which I needed to keep to comply with Part P.

Anyway it's been 3 weeks and I haven't received anything, how long does this normally take?

The electrician should have supplied you with a certificate there and then, or popped it in the post with your invoice (which is how they did it at the last co. I worked for.) This is the certificate for the actual installation.

Then the electrician will notify the LABC who will also send you a cirtificate to show that the work has been notified, and complies with building regulations. AFAIK these can take upto 6 weeks to come through from the LABC.

cheers buddy, just been looking through your picture of the week. wow!
