Nigel's take on corruption, George Soros & the EU

Is that the same Farage that's accused of misusing expenses and allowances; and the one who was on the fisheries committee but didn't do the job he was paid for because he only turned up once?

https://www.theguardian.com/politic...-among-ukip-meps-accused-of-misusing-eu-funds

"Farage himself is one of the biggest skivers from parliamentary sessions. He is ranked 746th out of 751 MEPs when it comes to voting on things. "

yes it is.

Apparently the labour party pay £1,000,000 a year in rent for there head quarters ??

this rent is paid to a company in a tax haven . Jersey I think

it's time the citizens of the UK had a government that discourages tax trickery.

A reminder that HMRC actually rents its offices from a company registered in a tax haven

HMRC offices are owned by offshore company. For tax reasons.

That is basically STRAIGHT UP TROLLING.

But it is.

HMRC pays rent on its 600 regional offices from a company called Mapeley Steps Limited, which is registered in the tax haven Bermuda, as the result of a private finance initiative (PFI).

Remember pig-boy Cameron, and Panama?

"Fund run by David Cameron’s father avoided paying tax in Britain"

https://www.theguardian.com/news/2016/apr/04/panama-papers-david-cameron-father-tax-bahamas

Guess whose Virgin Island tax-haven "healthcare" group wants to take over the profitable parts of our NHS? And won't be paying UK tax.

Transam doesn't remember that

"The Tory party chairman, Francis Maude, has emerged as the senior figure who authorised the Conservatives' controversial deal to buy their former headquarters through an offshore company."
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2006/oct/15/uk.conservatives

Maybe it wasn't mentioned on the pro-tory briefing paper he gets.

More chance of that from him. We'll find out soon enough.

Obviously a party whose prime minister is in the offshore-tax dodging game won't do it. Neither will those tax-dodging billionaires who pull the Tory strings.

Like we found out from Blair?

If you're planning to vote for blair, you will be disappointed.

You should try to pay more attention to current affairs.

I'm curious to know why, in light of recent and past events, you think it's worth voting AT ALL ?

the tories dropped it, but

"In all the election noise, you are unlikely to have heard anything about a paragraph appearing on the 124th page of the Labour Manifesto – even though it is a manifesto pledge that could transform the world in a truly fundamental way.

The pledge commits the Labour Party to lift the veil of secrecy covering the UK’s Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories – some of the largest tax havens and secrecy jurisdictions in the world. This will be done by “introducing strict standards for transparency for Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories, including a public register of owners, directors, major shareholders and beneficial owners for all companies and trusts.”"

I don't suppose you knew about that, as you only read tory news.

Force yourself to read the paragraph beginning

"All of this could be swallowed, maybe, if there was some real purpose to these havens besides for aiding and abetting criminals and tax avoiders...."
