No holidays for me this year!!!

Coljak.
Vegas is the biz with so much more to do as well as the casinio`s.
Secret with the gambling is if you set yourself a figure of say £150 a day you can afford to lose , when your up dont think you now have more to play with. Pocket it and walk away.
Also every casino must have a game that the odds are in customers favour find it and play it (3 card brag,1 card turnover etc) also slot machines by entrances, cafes etc pay out higher percentage than those right in the middle.
For a good day out quad biking in the desert is brill.

might do a fortnight in the states....

week in vegas and a week in NYC...

can't be doing with all this beach life...

got to set a budget for the 2 weeks though..
will empty my account of all but the vegas budget, and give my mom the money for the NYC week and set up a fund transfer for the day I move venue..
that way you won't be tempted to spend it all in vegas.. and if you win some then you have more to spend in NYC..
doing it the other way you spend in NCY and end up bringing money back if you win in vegas.. what's the point in that?

Hope you been watching The Real Hustle, those guys are a different league when its gambling?

you don't go to vegas with expectations of coming home a millionair.. you go and have fun.. if you happen to come back no worse off than when you went it's a bonus...

first port of call if I go there will be one of the gun shops that has a gun range..

a day shooting all the weapons I've always wanted to, sounds like my idea of fun..

I looked into a heli flight into the Grand Canyon and over the strip at night, but I'd have to pay for 2 tickets 'cos I'm a big bloke..

there's a humvee drive out into the GC with lunch at some camp at the bottom..
gotta do the GC.. it's one of the seven natural wonders..
and Hoover dam too..

My last foreign holiday was sixteen years ago and don't expect to be taking one again.
Prefer the sights and sounds of the emerald isle and in any case "living" doesn't have to involve stepping unto airplanes half a dozen times a year to visit silly places that you could just visit as easily using google earth.

Where did you go, Benidorm?

thanks for the tips Coljack and namsag. I'm off there on the 4th of July for a stag week as I'm to be wed in August  . There are 15 of us

GC and HD are on our list as well as quad biking. We're not the gambling type so will just do some lightweight gambling  How far is the GC from the strip? :) [sorry for thread hijack]

You lucky bustards. I am dying to get a holiday abroad but cant get one because I cant get insurance. Last year we had to cancel a Florida holiday because I had a heart attack and lost £1000 deposit because I hadn't declared that I bent pinky I had a that was to be straightened later in the year. Then I lost another £900 when I had another attack and had to cancel a holiday in France. Now, because I have an appointment for a trapped nerve in my arm, no one will insure me for a holiday abroad. Yes, I would even settle for Benidorm.

if you do what we do you dont get embroiled in the mire,
kill the kids and book times in january.

then we can have breaks in may and september.

Bolo Im sorry to hear that

No worries mate. Until 2003 I had a really great and healthy existence. Since then I have had four heart attacks and three cancer scares the latest of which is the most ominous. However, having said that, one of my best mates, a guy of just 45, died yesterday. "His heart stopped" they said. He came out of hospital after 7 months, just 2 weeks ago, having been admitted with a flesh eating disease followed by a heart attack. In those 2 weeks he literally smoked and drank himself to death. In a few days we will say our final goodbyes. Life is hard, very, very, hard.

mwroof.
Canyon is 45 minutes in a light aircraft(long bus journey),but unless you have a cast iron stomach try and get the helicoptor there as it is a lot smoother. Out of sixteen 12 through there guts up on the plane (dont think it had anything to do with being on pish constantly). Amazing sight. There is various trips but get one that takes you down onto the canyon floor. And don`t worry about the scorch marks on the walls the helicoptors only crash occasionally
Tickets for most of the shows are avialable at a couple of half price booths along the strip.
Ladies of the night frequent every hotel bar and it is not like the film Pretty woman they are mostly housewifey types. But tell mates to be careful ,we regularly seen guys running about in boxers looking for who had just robbed them.
You can spend days just looking around the hotels and when you see them you will know what i mean.
If yous are brave enough give sky diving a go its only about £150 and what a buzz you wont beat it.

Bolo if i was you i would just go anyways as it sounds like your on your last legs, have a final blast and sod the consequences

Blimmin ell, horrible that, condolences to his family and I hope your health imporoves Bolo.

I'm 34 and 4 years ago almost died when a stomach ulcer exploded in my gut. I remember waking up the next day and the doctors saying I should'nt have survived, lol

Must admit, its changed me, I never get angry anymore or let things stress me out, i'll always give in to the missus even if i'm right and i'm generally happy all round now. I had a woman reverse into my bumper last month, I was more concerned about if she was ok than my pride and joy motor :)

Thanks, but no thanks, for the offer! I have two kids aged 12 and 14 years and they want to go back to Florida and failing that to Disneyland Paris.

I have managed to persuade 2 of my consultants to write me a letter saying that I am clear of the particular problem that I was referred to them for, and am working on the the last obstacle (consultant). The only problem is, that after 3 biopsies , an ultra scan and CT scan, they cannot find a reason for my red pee. Both the biopsies and the CT scan have , (thankfully), failed to show a sinister cause for the discolouration. If I get the all clear, I can go ahead and book a holiday.
