Yup!

A similar problem near the start of the circuit: the T&E cpc was terminated into a conduit box using a very skinny self-tapper into the threaded hole...

Because of the two high-res earth joints the EFLI at destination was 1086...

The really shocking thing is that these joints have most likely been there since build date: Wimpy, 1984...

4mm, red ring crimp on the T+E CPC and a 4mm brass pin, and a pirahnna nut on this end and you're golden...

Not quite. No RCD, No discrimination (15A 3036 suuplying garage CU, 15A in garage CU supplying socket)

No bond to water, PME supply & water pipe in garage.

no means of earthing, unless PME, then supply swa not isolated from house supply.
old wiring colours.
Fuses are not present.
front cover is missing.
no circuit identifcation present.
