Hi, please bear with me as I’m really not very competent with electrics etc.

I have night storage heaters which I know how to set etc to get the best out of them (years of trial and error), the only thing I can’t get with my new house is which way do I switch the electric box? It has 2 switches: Off-peak Supply off/on and Normal Supply off/on. I’ve posted a photo as I know I’m not explaining this well. I’d really appreciate your assistance.

That looks like an immersion controller and on that basis you should have off peak switched on so it’s heating water at the night time rate

Hi, it does all my electric not just the hot water as far as I’m aware? Or am I wrong? How do my storage heaters only use the cheap electric overnight if not via these switches? Sorry I’m just trying to understand the system here. I do appreciate your help though.

which way do I switch the electric box?
For that box leave both switches on all the time.
It only does the hot water, which will operate overnight.
If you want extra hot water in the day, press one of the oval grey buttons to give it a boost for an hour.

Storage heaters are controlled elsewhere, given that BX2000 box exists they are most likely switched via the meter so all you need there is to ensure any other switches for the heaters are left on.
