Not my own words, sent to me via e-mail:

Thought you might like to read this letter to the editor of a British
national newspaper. Ever notice how some people just seem to know how to write a letter?

Here is a woman who should run for Prime Minister!
Written by a housewife, to her daily newspaper. This is one ticked off lady.

'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores in July 2002, and in
New York Sept 11 2001 and have continually threatened to do so since?

Were people from all over the world, not brutally murdered that day in
London , and in downtownManhattan , and in a field in Pennsylvania?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a few Taliban were claiming to be tortured by a justice system of the nation they come from and are fighting against in a brutal insurgency.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11 and 7/7.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere belief of which is a crime punishable by
beheading in Afghanistan

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in

Afghanistan come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques and behind women and children.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of Nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide
bombs.

I'll care when the British media stops pretending that their freedom of speech on stories is more important than the lives of the soldiers on the ground or their families waiting at home to hear about them when
something happens.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a British soldier roughing up an Insurgent terrorist to obtain information, know this:

I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take this to
the bank:

I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner - who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and 'fed special food' that is paid for by my taxes - is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts:

I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, believe me!! you guessed it ......

I don't care!!

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous
behaviour!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great country! And may I add:

'Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. Our soldiers don't have that problem.'

I have another quote that I would like to add, AND.......I hope you forward all this.

Only five defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1. Jesus Christ

2. The British Soldier

3. The Canadian Soldier

4. The US Soldier, and

5. The Australian Soldier

One died for your soul, the other 4 for your freedom.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Only one mistake, the London bombings were in 2005 not 2002!

What about the NZ soldier? Or the Polish pilot?

Has been doing the rounds since at least 2002...

It has been attributed to a Canadian woman, an American woman and a few more nationalities.

That said, it is a well written piece.

Agreed and as stated, it wasn't my writing.
Makes you think though - is it indicative of how we feel?

Definitely, but its the truth. The truth seems to be ignored by people who find the it unpleasant and unpalatable.

What exactly was the point she was trying to make again?

What a load of regurgitated b*llocks !

Not that I care... ;)

Its resurfaced again because T Blair wrote it and and he's trying to flog a dead horse(his book).Who cares ;)

This Sat. last I returned to my Old School to attend a celebration of the Memorial Chapel - built before I got there- to remember the specific war dead that had been through the school. What I found was a building that , 40 years since I left it, has become a mecca to I.T and P.C . All the hands on tech. labs are long gone , the corridors tarted up and re floored. Half the classrooms used as stores .And ramps and rails everywhere  . This building to me resembled a grave , where the ancient codes of Honour and Duty laid rotting. As a headstone stood the chapel, on it`s entrance wall a plaque with the names of the fallen . The wall was grubby, like it had been passed by a thousand cattle ( there used to be a market in the town )And ,just above the plaque someone had written f*** you ( without even capitalising it  )That is what those people died for - The " freedom " of the 21st. Century. Enjoy it while it lasts.

That’s all very well and good but if ‘we’ go barging into foreign affairs and have the attitude that “it’s not our fault God saw fit to bury our oil under their ground” you can’t help but place some or much of the blame on OUR doorstep for interfering where we were never wanted in the first place!

They never asked for our kind of democracy. They never asked for, or aspired to, our ideals lest of all have them foisted down their throats!

Our ideals, which sell arms aboard so our brave men and women get killed by insurgents with our own supplies.

Our ideals, where you cannot protect yourself against a thug without yourself being bang-up in jail. I could go on…

If you kick the hive over you have to expect to get stung and the crying shame of it all is we, the people, did not ask for it but we, the people, are living in fear and suffering because of OUR Government's (illegal) immoral interference in the first place!

Maybe if Blair and Bush were tried like the war criminals they are* we would not have the terrorism which we have today on our land?

We are not whiter than white and people need to wake up to that fact.

*Allegedly.

No, but they are happy to claim asylum, benefits housing and special consideration from our do-good lefty to**ers in this, their dispised country.

And as for the old oil thing again, if Saddam had gained control of most of the world's oil supply; it would not be very long before bog roll was illegal and all women would look like black post boxes.

A very christian cheers

Iraq under Saddam (despite him being a sadistic sh*t) was a secular society where christians were free to practice their religion, veils were not the norm, and Al qaeda wasn't in the country...

He abolished sharia courts, gave women freedoms not held in other Mid East countries, and had a western-style legal system...

But hey, why let a few facts get in the way, eh?... ;)
