Opinion On Legality of Lockdown

"Excuse" implies you are doing something you shouldn't be.
Makes you sound like you are at school and just got told off by a teacher.

eg, One may be excused from jury duty.
'...release (someone) from a duty or requirement...'
or
'...seek to lessen the blame attaching to (a fault or offence); try to justify...'

'...a reason or explanation given to justify a fault or offence...'
Take your pick - depending upon your outlook...

It also comes from French.
je fait mes excuses, or je m'excuse means to aplogize.

I know it comes from Latin before that, excusare, I believe.

Good morning officer, i'm exercising my heart so I have less chance to be hospitalised and keep NHS services free for the billions dying of coronavirus.

Hi Pip,

If it was the first meaning, then the word reasonable would not be needed. To me, it doesn't really fit..
The wording could easily have been:

You may be excused from staying in if:

etc........

We were talking about "excuses".
I gave one.
If people think that living a life means avoiding death, they should sterilise a room, seal it and never leave it.
I personally prefer living in the knowledge that by undertaking activities for my enjoyment I could die today or tomorrow.
Using power tools to build things is a pleasure to me, but I understand the risks and accept them.
Your choice.

That is no risk to anyone else
True, probably wrong example.
My question:
Do you live your life with the only target to avoid death?
If so, you will die bored, alone, miserable and possibly young.
In other words your entire existence is entirely useless to you, everybody else and the planet.
Better if you were never born, less resources would have been wasted.

Are you a bit of an evangelist?
