Parents vs Grandmother.

Im sure a lot of you have had this bother.

I seem to have a neurotic Mum. Whatever we do for our little girl is not enough. It would be too long to explain the whole story, but one comment left me suprised.

NEUROTIC GRANNY: "Best keep Katie off school all week, she has a nasty cold"
DAD: "Mum, you sent me to school with measles, she can go to school with a cold."
NEUROTIC GRANNY: "Thats different, I didnt know you had them"
DAD: "Why?"
NEUROTIC GRANNY: "You cried a lot, and you didnt like school, I thought it was you just playing up."
DAD: "I was sick in the school and was carried home."
NEUROTIC GRANNY:" Oh, shut up"

End of conversation.

Paul.

Respect your folks but be firm.

They are your children, not hers, you are the Dad.

So what you say goes.

if granny thinks your daughter is sick let her look after her all week,i bet your mum wont agree to this lol,
as said your the parent do as you feel is best.

Parent: "And when she grows up, goes out to work, gets a cold, stays off work for a week, loses the weeks wages, gets sacked for repeating the absence every time she gets a cold" you can always say, "Granny meant well"!
