I don't think so - at least, not to a great extent.

I think that most people realise that there are appreciable differences between electrical practices in mainland European countries and the UK - after all, even the plugs and sockets are different. However, I suspect that very few have even considered the possibility of differences within the UK and that many might also think that ROI was also 'the same' as the UK. However, I may be wrong.

The flag is automatically displayed with your location. I thought I should edit my location.

I've just looked. It seems that the flag is automatically displayed according to the country, and that can only be changed by using a drop-down list. However, the field for "Location" (i.e. where I have put "Buckinghamshire") appears to be a 'free text' one - so I think you probably could, if you ever wanted to, put something like "Retired from UK" into that field, and that would then be displayed along with your Portuguese flag. Your "Location" field is presumably currently blank, since nothing is being displayed.

Fair enough - I see you've done it.

It's a bit pedantic, but if it had been me, I think I might have put something like "Retired to:" (or, if it would 'fit', "Retired from UK to:"), since, for those who don't know, "Retired in Portugal" might be taken to imply that your work/experience had also been in Portugal prior to your retirement.

Probably - but if I put "Retired in Buckinghamshire", would you take that to mean that my pre-retirement experience had been in a different location, maybe a different country?
