white hart lane pitch is something like 10% "synthetic" as the groundsman calls it...that'll be plastic then. I suspect that most modern pitches use similar methods. Its very realistic.

bloody hot to walk on in the summer though. theyre machined onto a black backing, you cant walk on it barefoot on a hot day
