detained in Romania


Caught at last.

"One of Britain's most wanted fugitives has been arrested in Romania after years on the run.

Shane O'Brien, 31, is alleged to have murdered Josh Hanson in an unprovoked knife attack in London in 2015.

He fled after the stabbing at the RE bar in Hillingdon and a red alert was issued by Interpol for information leading to his arrest and prosecution.

The Met Police said extradition proceedings will begin to bring him to the UK.

Mr O'Brien, who is on both the Europol and the National Crime Agency most wanted lists, left the UK on a private flight in the wake of the attack."
