Recommendation For Quiet Combi Boiler

Yes, as he's no spring chicken I would probably have to fit grab rails to the shower to stop him being swept away by 16 litres/min!

One thought that crossed my mind: how often do you see posts on here along the lines of 'Broag boiler broken down'? Not very often.

Does that mean that there aren't that many Broag boilers out there, or they really are that impressive?

Also, these boilers are available from £650 inc. flue, vat and delivery (28c model)? Amazing value for a quality boiler. We're having one. It seems like the best boiler that no one's ever heard of!

One last thing, what's the customer service like from Broag?

Thanks for your advice all.

broag remeha are new to the domestic boiler market and have a tiny percentage of market share. Having said that their boilers are reasonable quality and well priced although imo not a patch on atag, viessmann or vaillant.

The vaillant ecotec pro 28 is probably what I'd recommend in this instance and is reasonably priced.

Time will tell if broags are good or medium, not enough of them around long enough to tell one way or the other.
The amount of posts about them does not say a lot, you very rarely see a post about a knackered Sime, and they are about as bad as Ideal.

One thing is for sure, a broag installed by an installer that goes by the book, and maintained likewise, will have a better survival chance than the most expensive CDI that is flung on the wall in half a day, and then left to die.

the wonderous remeha everyone talks about is full of industry standard parts, nothing special about it at all. The only bonus is the opentherm connection which no one uses. I often wonder if some people look past a sales brochure.
In actual fact all the water components are almost identical now to the Ideal Combi Logic :D

In that case it will be nowhere near as quiet as CDI or Viessmann. :!:
Or as good.
But it will be cheaper.

3500P5BV8 you asked for a good quiet boiler and we have given you them... but if you wanted us all to agree on one brand above all else then you will have more luck herding cats

broag is an up and coming make, i have no idea if it is any good only that it is light enough for doitall to lift

That price is about right, but an installer like myself will give a full 5 year parts & labour warranty on it as well if supplied by us.

Don't think it includes VAT though

I've been fitting Broag boilers for at least 20 years  and they are a quality Company.

Ok what happens in the future with Baxi, we can only speculate, in the meantime enjoy a rare product, because there's nothing else to match it.

The domestic range has only been in he Uk for 4 years and the only thing it shares with the commercial range is the badge. As I've said many times before, the only difference between this boiler and many others is a pcb and a badge. If you actually look inside one you'll see for yourself.

we are talking about domestic, not commercial and I can think of several domestic boilers far better than the remeha such as atag, viessmann, vaillant, intergas, poss even WB cdi.

So for all these people recommending these boilers how many of them have you actually seen or worked on

DM

How many Atags Intergas and viessmans have you worked on and why, what where you fixing on them

I have seen them all the only one I have never worked/trained on is the atag. I do work for myself as well as my employer btw. Is that ok or do you want photographic evidence?
