Tell me again how the health system in Cuba has better outcomes, at less cost, than the US system.

Tell me, again and again and again, why, if Cuba is so good, are you living here and not there?

It works both way round on here though, doesn't it?

Probably more so the other way.

Some people are even slagging off Corbyn for what they say he would have done or not done.

Yes, you are right, and slagging off Corbyn for what he might have done is just plain stupid.

Yes, but fantastic leadership, and the chancellors speech will probably go down in history, for all the right reasons.
I have to agree that the way the Chanc. presented himself was very well done.
He is more PM material than the PM.

Socialism has never worked; anywhere; ever.
Confused thinking.

Free market ideology doesnt work, look at America, sure it has a high gdp per capita, but it has a huge number of people in poverty.

On the other hand the social democracies of Sweden, Denmark and Norway have high % of millionaires and billionaires.

France is pretty left but its a pretty wealthy country too.

Kind of disproves your theory

Sweden, Denmark and Norway ...France

Those are not socialist countries - although, whatever their policies are, they are not working, because those are the countries with high levels of muslim immigration, and that's one policy that will never work for a country, because it will eventually destroy the country.

"Cuba has a very sad history. It traded a regular dictatorship for a communist dictatorship six decades ago, and the results have been predictably awful.

Oppression, persecution, rationing, spying, deprivation, and suffering are facts of life."

"Socialism hasn’t delivered the goods it promised in Cuba or anywhere else. Today, Cuba is a poor country made poorer by socialism. "

Tell me again how the health system in Cuba has better outcomes, at less cost, than the US system.

What a rubbish comparison; saying "there there", while mopping the patient's fevered brow with a moistened cloth, would be preferable to the US system in many cases.

Oppression, persecution, rationing, spying, deprivation, and suffering are facts of life
Im pleased to hear you are against persecution, suffering and poverty.
They are all things that Tory austerity has caused.

Ryler is anti Tory and their disgusting policies.

I think Boris Johnson is a prick but you are so anti Boris it’s boring. He could give homes to the homeless and you would criticise.

Yes, but fantastic leadership, and the chancellors speech will probably go down in history, for all the right reasons.

Ian I think you are missing the point. So socialism can deal with a crisis but Capitalism cannot.

When policies were proposed to expand the economy through direct Government intervention they were dismissed as communism and socialism - we will turn into Venezuela.

But now the Tories are implementing them by Direct Government payments it's all roses. Its as hypocrtical as you can get.

The Tories are loading up on Government debt - yet they argued we have run out of money - May response to a Nurse why they couldnt invest more in the NHS - "there is no magic money tree".

So these free market capitalists come with their begging bowl when they are in trouble and they are not demonised yet when some poor person does the same they are labelled as scroungers.

The Corona pandemic is stripping away every trope, myth and lie made by the Tory supporters who now are championing socialist policies because it will save their livelihood.
