Replacement for Apollo Boiler 15/30b

WHICH do not test boilers anymore unless they've changed since I wrote to them 4 or five years ago.

They send out a questionnaire to I believe 10,000 people to ask their experiences of different products. There has to be at least 50 replies regarding a single product to warrant inclusion in the results if I recall, maybe 55 (boilers that is).

Question or suggest failings or shortfalls in their methodology and receive a nice letter back informing you they will not write to you anymore.

So far all anyone can produce is hearsay and urban myths. Where is the EVIDENCE?

I am not, and never have been, a subscriber to Which?

That's just what I was thinking!

That boiler is almost as efficient as any other modern boiler apart from not having the 4-12% extra efficiency which a condensing boiler can achieve in some settings and having a permanent pilot light.
So no more efficient than a standard SE boiler then??..take into account the tubular waterways which are prone to lime scale and we have a boiler that is not very efficient...:)

If it makes you happy. But the only people to respond to a which survey are the ones who pay a subscription. And they'll only buy products they're advised to. So a rather incestuous relationship.

Anyway, where's your homework from the other thread?

???

The allegation was that manufacturers paid to have their products reviewed; nothing to do with member surveys.

And they'll only buy products they're advised to.
A very sweeping statement. Do you have any evidence to back it up?

Which thread was that?

For the properties i do up to sell, WB is the only choice, thank you Which.

If no one can tell me which topic it is, I'm not going to bother looking for it.
