The SNP are still campaigning for independance
Before you ask, this is a typical example of you distorting something that someone said.
John made the point about Brexit potentially causing the breakup of the UK. You suggested Scotland already want independence, which is demonstrably untrue because they recently voted to remain part of UK.
You then adjust your argument to avoid being made to look silly, by suggesting that because the SNP want independence, it also must mean Scotland.

John's remark obviously referred to Brexit potentially giving succour to the independence argument.

Do you think your persistent distortion is helpful?

Campaigners against Scottish Independence claimed that Scotland would lose its EU membership and said "Better Together."

There is an overlap between people who say "Better Together " when they want Scotland to stay in the UK, and "Better Apart," oops sorry, I mean "Take Back Control" when they want England out of the EU.

Scotland does not want to be taken out of the EU by England.

That's not an answer.
Why do you care what my opinion is?
Do you even care what my opinion is?
For the sake of public forum debate - yes I would like an answer. Your own personal opinion - could not give a toss.
Top tip: if you are uncomfortable being questioned, don't enter into the debate.

I wonder if the number of elected SNP members at Holyrood is greater than the number of elected UKIP members at Westminster.

Who can tell me?

It is a free country and people are entitled to ask questions.
They are not necessarily entitled to an answer,
If anyone declines to answer, that is their fundamental right.

All this constant, ANSWER THE QUESTION!, and, "you refuse to answer", or, "you are avoiding the question" is pointless.
Anyone and everyone is entitled to not answer, if they so wish.

However, that said, if someone makes a point, and refuses to elucidate or explain themselves, it does rather invalidate their point.

Fake news.
Out of date now, that is true:

And you have the right,it appears,,,to demand an answer,,1000 times.and the source. Then tell them they are wrong, and you are right

Like I said, if someone makes a point, fails to elucidate, explain themselves, provide some evidence to support their argument, provide the source for their evidence, etc, it does invalidate their argument.
That is unless they preface their comment with “IMO”. That is perfectly acceptable for them to proffer an opinion.
But I thought all that was well understood.
