Should Boris return?

All hail Rishi, the new King.
Do you actually want this man as PM?
Rishi Rich Boy would be best for the country! (would still rather have a general election but I doubt we will be having one of those)
Best out of an extremely bad bunch. And I doubt even that.

Anyone who becomes British PM can only do harm, our whole system is geared to work against us. The only thing that will stop the rot is for us to stop living beyond our means - and that's a vote loser!

It became clear when the Tory press posted negative headlines that de Piffle would fail. He ignore's polls and opinions from anywhere but the Tory press. His supporters made the loudest noise about the return of their 'king-over-the-water' and consumed the news cycle with his flight back to 'save the nation'. Doomed to fail. His time has Gone, boy.
His fan boys will certainly swing behind PM4PM and then it's down to an online vote - if the blue-rinse brigade can figure out how to work a 'puter.
Tories should do what they should've done in the summer and appoint the best man available for the job. Right now, that's Sunak.

Great pair o' tits, no?

But when they're bigger than the wife's maybe time to cut back on the burgers.:p

Boris may be doomed politically as May seems to be. Cameron too. Others earlier, might be why Hague stays out of things. A variety of polls suggest Boris isn't as popular with the general population as some might think. It's not just party gate. Some comments about his role as PM have been interesting as well. They don't sound too good and his love of photo opportunities indicate they are correct. LOL Sunak was dragged into that at times. It's perpetual canvassing and distracts from what is actually happening. He's a pretty unique PM in this respect.. Maybe we need a return to normality rather than a game show.

Don't think May was one for hogging the limelight. Still didn't stop people recognizing she was trying to get Brexit through in name only.

and Boris got it done ? Except he didnt, it's just a mess.

were you 1 of those that had multiple choices of types of brexi t n your voting slip ?

brexi t was always going to be a mess when nobody knew what it really meant or would be.

UKIP set us on this self destruct course. Farage has a lot to answer for

get Brexit through in name only.
Seems you would believe anything. LOL It isn't even the PM that does the negotiations

List of secretaries of state for exiting the European Union (Brexit Secretaries)
NameTerm of officePrime Minister
David Davis MP for Haltemprice and Howden13 July 2016
Dominic Raab MP for Esher and Walton9 July 2018Theresa May
Steve Barclay MP for North East Cambridgeshire16 November 2018Boris Johnson

"Many Tory MPs were highly sceptical that Johnson had the numbers. On Sunday, the number of declared backers for the prime minister was stuck at little more than 50.

Johnson claimed he could have won the contest because of his appeal to the party membership but that he had stood aside in the interests of the Conservative party and the nation"

"Claimed."
A liar to the end.

There are 2 main aims concerning Brexit.

We send £x to the EU and get £y back. If we stop doing that we can still spend £y and have the remaining part of £x as well.

That makes thing difficult for political remainers so all they can say is it will make us poorer., It has. They could also say it will make exporting to our nearest large market more difficult. It has. In fact the leaving faction appear to want to make that even worse. Our own food standards tor instance - whoops not prepared to say we will stick to theirs
The UK exported an average of over 156,000 tonnes of beef and other bovine products per year between 2013 and 2017, equating to an average value of £456 million. Over this period, exports to the EU accounted for an average of 82% of all exports.
The same sort of thing may well crop up in other areas. Workers rights and obscure areas might even figure. Lowest possible wages help.

This same area also has an impact on the taxation levels we need to have. More money for free - on the face of it but with losses from other aspects.

The 2nd factor is EU tariffs. Import from places where they would be applied. They probably will be coming in anyway however without the tariff they will be cheaper. Mogg mentioned 4.5% on childrens shoes. Wow. In some areas food is one they intend to apply their own tariffs. If that results in a price that exceeds our domestic prices it isn't going to sell. If cheaper what do you think that will do to our own producers? Yet more taxation anyway. Some areas of privatisation are similar we are paying taxation. It's just not obvious. We are doing that on all of them. Some things are more suitable for state ownership and in areas like rail where there is a hodge podge of companies involved it makes little sense at all.

EU money in comparison with the whole. Not a lot really and then comes world events and most of the gains vaporise. More manufacture here - why come here when the stuff will go through export channels. The channel doesn't help either - the chunnel does but only has so much capacity.

Some Tory recently have said if only covid hadn't cropped up. Our recovery hasn't matched others anyway. I wonder why.

You know what I mean aj.
Raab is very much a brexiteer. May was stitched up leaving Boris with his get brexit done gaining them a lot of votes.
The final deal was to carry on dealing and not just in respect to NI.

;) The block Boris put in seems to be a none entity but a rather Tory loyal one. His legal abilities compared with Raab are pretty much a joke.

Biggest laugh is Labour would have taken us out anyway.
