Should mods be identified?

  • Users that are mods should have "moderator" under their user name.

    Votes: 36 64.3%
  • Users that are mods should continue to remain unidentified.

    Votes: 20 35.7%

  • Total voters
    56
  • Poll closed .
23 to 22 against, im guessing there are 23 mods or they can vote more than once
Must admit, it crossed my mind too Jef. I can just picture Crafty sat at home, feet up, smoking a fat cuban (ooer missus) repeatedly clicking on the "submit vote" button. :lol:

Morning one and all; and what a wonderful morning it is to.

Now think on this my learned friends;
Doses this forum really truly have mod’s as they are not known to us underlings. Are they just numbers dreamed up by admin to make it look good and just a figment of admin’s imagination?
And don’t you think it strange that admin and his merry men or women that’s if they exist at all are keeping extremely quite on this subject. Then again they could just be preparing the oil and tare before we underlings who should know our place get charged for herisey for daring to question those who must be obeyed.

I put this forward due to the fact that I was a member of another diy forum and the owner had several aliases and one would ask a question and another one would answer but it was the same guy just talking to his self, “There’s nowt as strange as moderators”

And yes I would not be surprised at all that admin is having a hand in the results of the poll, after all would you like it if you hand a uprising on your hands?

And finally just hand my Signature edited by admin.

Jobsworth, Busy body, Know it all, Nosey Parker.

Take you pick I am sure the list is endless.

But can we all please remember true moderators are extremely trust worthy and do a fantastic job of what must be a most un-rewarding job. But it’s the jobsworth’s seem to relish in the little power that a moderators job give them.

And on this forum the moderators hind behind a cloud of secrecy which gives the jobsworth’s of this forum a free hand.

Finally I have ask admin to publish the email he sent me giving me the reasons regarding the editing of my signature just so others can lean from my mistake. I my self will not be holding my breath.

if you are so upset by it why have you bothered to come on the site? i really dont understand what you are getting so wound up about :roll:

Hi gcol

I have received a reply from admin regarding my signature saying it is private mater between me and admin. But I will publish my reply;

Hi

That’s what all the fuse is about; admin and moderators not willing to stand up a be counted and air your decisions in public hiding behind a vale of secrecy. After all I ask publicly did I not? Just so others may lean from my mistakes should I have broken the forum rules which I did. So don’t you think others would be able learn from my mistake if you reported your decision publicly and in turn help you to run the forum more openly and again a greater degree of respect from all members.

What a snivelling goodie goodie you are Bespoke!

I don't see what your signature problem has got to do with this thread? I think really the moderators should have removed your ramblings as you're hijacking gcols poll. You haven't been here a week and your dishing out crap and stirring.

I personally couldnt give a toss who the mods are, I don't encounter their actions because I don't post anything that contravenes the rules.

Yawn yawn yawn yawn!!

ps Merry Christmas y'all!

And you've got the nerve to call bespoke a snivelling goodie goodie ... Priceless :roll:

Don't worry, I'm sure the Mods will award you a gold star for good behaviour :lol:

I thank you!

Seriously though, that wasn't my point. I am trying to understand what he is trying to achieve sucking up to the 'in crowd'. It seems odd to me. Why is he posting bits of a conversation with admin about his signature woes? Strange behaviour for someone who joined 5 days ago. There doesn't even seem to be a problem. He has a signature, asked if it was ok, it wasn't, it was changed, now it is, so what? How does that turn into email exchanges and excitement?? It doesn't, so why post it here.

I agree. You are one very boring individual.

A buzzing fly gets attention, a rat scurrying across your feet gets attention, your point being....

This thread is a waste of time. It's obviously being manipulated by the forum admin so that they can say, "We'll leave things as they are as it's a 50-50 vote."

Bit pathetic really.
