So, an election.

I hope the conservatives pull it off. However I fear an snp labour coalition that sees Corbyn break up the uk.

break up the uk.

You mean in the sense that Buffoon and the Quitters are pushing NI into the arms of RoI, and whipping up Scotland into a popular push for independence?

The Cons are doing things that "a conservative prime minister would never do."

That the UK doesn't have a written constitution, thus it's not worth the paper it isn't written on?
What was your field of expertise/job again that drew you to this DIY site to help people out with/offer advice? You didn't say earlier.

Yep, a creepy b astard alright...

Mind you, it's fairly obvious that you are indeed an expert at 'diy'...

Because you'd be awfully lonely if you weren't a five fingered widow!

Yes, but what happened?

Johnson can't have an early election without the agreement of 434 MPs - ok.
Tries and fails. Fair enough.

Next day asks again but this time only needs a majority of one - why?
What happens? 438 of the dozy buggers vote for it.

Why?

Do you believe a hard right Conservative government combined with a hard brexit will be good for this country?

I'd like to see a libdem snp green coalition. About time we tried something new.

Tories will probably win again, but would be funny to see them beaten.

The fixed parliament act requires a two thirds majority...

However what happened was that a bill to put aside the fixed parliament act for a short period was introduced, and that only required a majority of 1.

Given the political climate it was odds on it would be approved, and labour threw their hat into the ring because they felt that they had to...

Thus it's why I said, "That the UK doesn't have a written constitution, thus it's not worth the paper it isn't written on".

And of course if there is a nasty party government elected in December, chances are that the FPA will be removed anyway!

no but the current conservatives are better than any available alternative.

Funny choice of words. Had I said that, I would have said "WE don’t have a written constitution, thus it's not worth the paper it isn't written on".

But then again, I do identify as a UK citizen.

Wrong. The benn surrender act has facilitated pushing NI further under the control of the ROI.
Aided and abetted by spineless politicians. Who just seem happy to let NI slip away.
If it was an Israeli situation they would be rolling tanks up to the border and stating "hands off".
