It was a canon 350d very new on the market, my concern was that it had a plastic body and i wondered if i should go for the more expensive metal bodied camera the 20d.

You bulls hitted us left right and centre saying that you had bought a 350d and it had a metal body, when the spec was shown to you of the 350d and it had a plastic body, you then claimed that you bought it in the states and it was a different spec there.

There are probably some similarities, after all you can probably find something insignificant in common with almost anybody. There a few glaring differences though.

You take a peverse delight in deliberately annoying generally reasonable people, just for the sake of it.

You seem to think there will be a cure to the UK's perceived problems, by encouraging discontent.

Actually your WRONG, I still have the Camera and it still has a metal body and I still bought it in the US....

Why this one has a metal body and the spec says not...I have no idea and I care even less...

Just because what I said does not fit with you, does not make it wrong..but I do accept it confused the issue at the time and was misleading, but this is hardly my fault if the manufacture changed the spec or did something else like having identical models etc.

After all this time that still bugs you..your so very very sad....

Freddie...you have ASSUMED that I lied as my 350D does not meet the spec for UK and apparently standard US models...

Just because what I have does not exactly match what you can find, does not mean I lied...what would be the point of lieing about it...the metal body makes no difference, as far as I am aware, to the performance of the camera..I am certainly not a good enough photographer to tell anyway!

Now I cannot remember what I said in my post, but I am certainly happy with my camera choice, and I probably recommended it..but the metal or plastic body was actually irrelevent to the the recommendation....

I have a friend who is Muslim. I used to work with him, then I used to manage his work. He's dedicated to his religion, also intelligent, considerate, was born in England, and he's a credit to our country. He's rock solid and I recently gave him a reference stating as much.

There - now you and everyone else knows someone who wants to keep an Islamic presence here. You're entitled to your opinions, and I'm entitled to mine.
