New company van last saturday.
Today got up to go to work,
Someone had nicked the spare wheel during the night from under the van.

Aye. That happens. Store it in the van if you have to. Surely you dont need ALL that space, all the time.

At least you noticed. Many wouldnt have.

I was in a Transit box van today, the spare wheel could have gone in that fibreglass bit over the cab, for example.

Only noticed as the wire cage thing dragged on the road as I pulled away.

It is a belingo and not much room inside.

it's very common. If you ask in the main dealer they probably sell a padlocking device as an accessory.

I have owned several Citroen cars with the same slung-under spare. It's a disgrace that they don't make the locking device standard equipment.

I argued with a main dealer about it the first time it happened and he gave me the locking kit free.

When the law first changed about windscreens not having any damage in line of sight . I got up one morning and someone had nicked the windscreen out my van just cut the rubber with a stanley knife.

In the same light as location, location, location...

Don't live as a rich man in a poor man's area... :(

What do you mean 'if'. We are well under way, and it is a recession that will never end. (well not in our lifetimes).

joe: you need some sound advice before you go sounding off.

There is a credit crunch, yes, but we're not yet in recession.

There is a big difference. Think back to the last recession (early nineties)...

What's a credit crunch? We are heading (and many believe we are already in) a recession. 10 years of boom - ten years of bust.
