maybe add - Canaries - being part of Africa, Rhodes, being part of Turkey, along with most of the Eastern Aegean Islands, French Polynesia being part of... well not France etc.

Only one person that lived in Gibraltar voted against Brexit but we still went ahead and have given Gibraltar back to the Spanish .

If Argentina is given a share of the place, those living on the island, the uk gov and the Argentina gov and her people would all reap from the rewards.
I'm not sure what the exact cost is monetary wise but it is tens of thousands more per head thank spent in England.
It is sad that adults can't live in peace. However, next time there is a battle, but the leaders of those countries plus their closest on the frontlines and trust me they'd have a very different view and most likely of peace. It's easy to send others in to get injured, maimed, killed but not so easy if its your neck on the line with this lot.

Why did we give up HK, why not stand our ground as we knew what China's leader/s were like. Why not send in the fleet etc or is it a case of only fight those that are much weaker than us.
Dear oh dear some people need to brush up on their history lessons as regards the Falklands, Hong Kong and Gibraltar. It would take too long to explain it here but I am sure wikipedia or google would help some understand the various scenarios.

in general there is little point in contributing to post like this as you either like the invasion off other countries or nations where in general you should not be or you think its right this leads to a moral dilemma where past actions where right or wrong
