This is what we have become - Billy no mates

These are the world leaders at the moment, and the only ones that can effectively stop Russia.

Can anyone remember what became of Macron's long telephone calls with Putin to end the Ukraine war?

Same as everyone else's talk with him. Me thinks you still have remnants of toxic brexit popularism in your head. The worst sort really.

Our talks with Putin???????????????????????? Oh dear a french bloke got to have one.

The main representatives of what could be called the old world really. Look to the east for the new one. Given the current situation the person on the left is likely to suffer less especially if high fuel prices result in significant capex. Both are seeing inflation. In europe due to lack of growth that may be stagflation. If people get pay rises to cover inflation it will be stagflation. If that is avoided it will take several years to regain living standards when inflation has fallen.

This possibly relates more now too. I wonder about the GBP

LOL Notice the comment - why we didn't join the euro. Part due to us having a solid currency once just as the USD has now.

Feared, not respected. Many EU leaders fear that other leaders of their EU partners will have the balls to listen to what the majority of their voters want and actually do it.

Notch works on that the Minority rule..... it works well in China, Russia and a few other countries.

That wasn't a pic.
It was a video.

Which has been edited to show only a short period of time. If you bother to look there is also footage of the same scene with Boris greeting all other leaders and being in discussions with Biden, Macron et al. No news here zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....move along please.

So you don't think he looked awkward at all? Or a slob in comparison to the others?

The world, in terms of socioeconomic and sociopolitical stuff, continually evolves. Power shifts (minor or major) through the centuries. There's no doubt the UKs clout on the world stage isn't what it was even a few decades ago. For example we now see some of the commonwealth countries stating their intent for change. It could be that x decades from now the commonwealth will be consigned to history. Look at the emergence of China over recent decades.

I don't suppose I have a specific point re OP. We've decided to remove ourselves from the EU, history will tell us (well not us cause we'll be dead and buried or burnt ;)) whether or not this was a wise decision.

It is so, so sad that many still judge a book by its cover!!! So, so sad!!!!!!
I never judge anyone by their dress as I was educated a long time ago when I was about 17/18 went on a demo
re jobs and was introduced to by a friend a skinhead. OMG, I thought but the chap was lovely it was just his dress code
  • but a really nice, hard-working guy that had o prejudices whatsoever. Since that day, I never, never ever judge a book by its cover, fact!!!!

:) :)

.

Met a lovely but scruffy couple in a marina once, really down to earth. I asked which boat was their's expecting them to point at some wooden gaff rigger. Nope 68ft Princess that was barely 6 months old. Invited for drinks later. very nice.

LOL. That is so funny coming from you. How was it you described the lady you spotted the other day?

officers were speaking to a clown and its big gf in ill-fitting tracksuit - the officers appeared to have a good handle on these misfits

I guess you will say that it was merely observational, and you didn't think she was a misfit because of the small tracksuit ...
