Never had to fit one before and having massive trouble getting the air up to the burner.

Tried backfilling with no luck

Tried an oil suction pump from BES but no luck

No instructions any ideas?

All fitted as it should be and runs if a short section of pipe is fitted from the Tigerloop into an oil tub so just can get it lifted about 2.5m and less than 6m in total of pipe :cry:

What size pipe have you used?
Have you fitted the Bypass screw in the oil burner pump?
are all the fittings Air Tight (i.e. not letting in air under suction?)
 
By pass screws in the return port on the oil pump

Pipe was sized for us at 10mm OD

All flared fittings and ok, only a couple at valves
 
1.Get a clean container that will hold about 500cc of oil.
2.Get an assistant to hold the container and fill it with clean oil.
3.Disconnect the input flexi-hose at the end not connected to the burner fuel pump.
4. Dangle the open end of the pump input flexi-hose into the oil container.
5 Run the burner so that the pump sucks up the oil. (You may need to briefly open the pump bleed point. If you have a pressure gauge with a manifold, fine, if not be carefull that it doesn't spray oil everywhere.)
6 The oil that is not required for the burner will be sent back down the return line and prime the Tigerloop.
7. Switch off the burner before the oil container is empty and reconnect the flexi-pipe.
Job done.

Ta just had an email very similar to this, do i leave the isolation valve installed before the tigerloop whilst its priming??
 
Have you got a non return valve on the feed pipe.
