Isn't that the deal that was so bad the US refused to join it's own creation?

The EU already has trade deals with eight out of eleven of the members, and the UK could have enjoyed those trade deals within the EU, now, not in a few years time.

Well New Zealand are probably a bit wary of the French involvement

probably keep an eye on the scoundrels

just in case they sanction another
Terrorist type attack on New Zealand

Afaik it may well have been the UK who tipped off New Zealand as to who carried out the attack ;)

Wasn’t it Trump that showed no interest? I read that Biden might be considering joining it.

We've already concluded or are in the process of concluding FTA's with 9 of the countries but full membership will be the icing on the cake. They are on target to become the largest trading bloc in the world, Biden will take the US into the bloc hastening them becoming the largest trading bloc and by default that gives us an FTA with the US.

The EU are starting to look quite insignificant really.

UK already had agreements with eight of the counties, therefore their trade with those countries was already well established.
I don't suppose the additional three will make much difference.
Plus, if and when the US-UK agreement is concluded, we'll be back to the old argument and objections of chlorinated chicken, hormone enlarged beef, NHS inclusion, etc.
Plus it will drive a wedge (trade wise) between UK and EU, it's closest trading partner.
Not everything in the garden is rosy.

I read the BBC article and found this little nugget:

The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership - or CPTPP - covers a market of around 500 million people.
But they are harder to reach than neighbouring markets in Europe.
