Well i've found that the credit crunch hasn't stunted people's romance. Tried to book accommodation in York for Saturday night, found 100s of guest houses and hotels and almost every one only takes a minimum of 2night stays at weekends and only a handful have any rooms left. One hotel has around 60 rooms at £125 per person per night, only takes 2 night bookings and was fully booked for Friday and Saturday night! Similar situation in Chester.
Found one in the end though!

Oh, without a doubt - but while we all keep paying it, they'll keep charging it! If no-one booked the rooms you can be sure as the 14th gets closer the prices would start falling. How much does it actually cost to throw a hoover around a room and cook a fry up?
Very lucrative, A work colleague years ago started up a bed and breakfast converted a house into 9 flats/rooms got the missus to cook breakfast and the rooms were filled with students with money coming from the chinese embassy paying the mortgage with loads left over enough to mortgage another house and so on, last time i heard (around 1987) he had 7 B&B's

A guy in the office brought 'The Sun' in earlier in the week - that had a centre pull-out valentines special in it and on one page was a cut-out valentines card to save you money. Only problem being, on the reverse page (being 'The Sun') it had a scantily clad lady - so on the inside of the card would have been a picture of a woman wearing next to nothing - not sure that would have scored too many brownie points with the WAGs?

On Saturday morning I will wake up and rip all of the wife's underwear off......................because its too tight for me, and cuts off the circulation to my legs!!
