What have you been doing today?

Dressing Room! do you live in Downton Abbey?

As The Lady Dowager would say, "Don't sound so astonished dear, it's so middle class." :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Actually we live in a 4 bedroomed cottage so converted one of the smaller bedrooms into a dressing room.
Couple of double wardrobes, couple of chests of drawers and a dressing table.

You are alone no longer! I love my beans over my chips!

I would happily contemplate murder for a decent portion of chips and beans today. My mouth waters at the thought. Sadly, all the places around here are shut.

How is your wife doing?

Today, I’ve been washing my pants! Got down to my very last pair in the drawer. Checked in the washing basket and there was about a dozen pairs so I washed 'em. Did Mrs Mottie's knickers and all the socks as well. I’ll have to give her a written warning when she gets home from work.

She's coming along, albeit slowly, but is improving. Her neck, tongue, throat and face swelled up over the weekend so rushed her to out of hours GP at the local medical centre and was told they suspect she has the bacterial form not the viral form, so put her on penicillin for 7 days with strict instructions to take the whole course and if it doesn't start easing in 48 hours to contact them again. Seems to be working and she managed a good nights sleep last night after the wooziness eased off when she laid down.
Thank you for asking. I appreciate it.

Oh man, Poor Mrs Conny, she really didn't need that on top of everything else :(

Been over the allotment and done a bit of harvesting. Meeting daughter, daughter-in-law to be and grandson later. Thought I'd do the girls a home- grown veggie box each. See the wonderful selection I’ve harvested.

So you grow bananas as well? ;)

Methinks you run a market stall and someone spoofed you with those home grown bananas.

I put those in for fun - just checking who was paying attention! Seriously though, everything there I grew myself. - cabbage, green kale, red kale, lettuces, red onions, garlic, beetroot, French beans, new potatoes and rhubarb. The new potatoes - heaven! Boil for 10 minutes, butter, cracked black pepper and salt plus some chopped mint that I grow in my garden and they could be a meal on their own. You’ve never tasted potatoes like 'em. Nom nom nom!

Just finished staining a 13' wide 5 bar gate. :)

Hopefully that will help stop the wasps stripping the bare bits.

Who's getting the good weather?! Done nothing but rain today.. so I've done nothing :)

Sunny all morning, daughter came round for lunch, uncovered the new patio furniture and it ****ed down. We then went out (in separate cars) and met up with daughter-in-law to be and our Grandson in a local country park. Weather fine. On the way home, had a call from our daughter, she had had to pull over and stop as it was raining so hard the wipers couldn’t clear it quick enough. We were in glorious sunshine and no more than a few miles apart. Had a lovely sunny evening.....until about 20 minutes ago when it chucked it down. Weird day.

The new ring came for the potters wheel I am repairing, fitted ok but not making contact with the cone drive, the motor is mounted on a plate with slotted holes so some minor adjustment and its running, just need to grease the shaft ....maaaatron so the drive wheel slides up and down smoothly, a first for me, might get it on the side of the van "Potters Wheel Specialist" and see the work flooding in
