aren't the Nightingales reopening to deal with surging COVID cases?

Instead, hospitals are being told to free up as many beds as possible.

The Nightingales should treat solely COVID patients to keep the virus out of the mainstream hospitals.

Because they have no staff, and the existing hospitals are unwilling to give up thousands of cleaners, technicians, specialists, consultants, receptionists, cooks, doctors and nurses to send them to the Nightingales.

I suspect they were put up following the Chinese pattern, where infected or suspected cases were forcibly incarcerated and given a bed and a blanket for a few weeks, to keep them out of sight and away from the public, until they were either dead or recovered and could be hygienically disposed of or discharged. Traditional plague wards.

The reasons are clear and have been published.
No staff.
The government made plans for them to be built but made no plans to staff them. It's hard to believe, but it is the reason why. There was already a nurse shortage before covid and brexit - who do you think it's available to staff these new hospitals?

Of course, some private companies made a mint, so as usual, there are winners. Just not the public tax payers.

It has also been publicized that Nightingale's cannot handle the severity of Covid. They can do little more than intubate or give oxygen, food/drink and a bed bath. One spokes 'person' said, being sent to Nightingale is just a prolonged death sentence.

Death per month ( average ) in 2020 for the first 45 weeks = 485564 / 45 = 10790

Deaths for the 52 week year = 10790 x 52 = 561096

Which is about 30,000 more death in 2020 than in year 2019

It makes one wonder how many of those excess deaths were from the 'virus' or from other illnesses that weren't picked up or treated!

And why the missing years?

Nick Stripe it seems is telling porkies...

It's interesting to note that the number of deaths kept falling even when all those 'pesky EU migrants' were 'let in', but started to rise again when the tories got into power...

Surely not a coincidence?

In 1999 and 2000 there were more excess deaths than this year because of the 'flu' back then...

So why wasn't the economy wrecked back then in the same way as it is being done now?

Could it be that the notion that the 'great reset' towards 'technocracy' by way of 'fear is control' isn't so fanciful?

Because the transmission and replication of the "flu" virus was far slower than the transmission and replication of the Covid-19 virus.

Look at the data for deaths when the Spanish Flu pandemic occurred in 1918

But which made the flu a more efficient killer...

More chance of dying from it than this 'virus'!

What was the state of healthcare and medical knowledge/treatment when the misnamed 'American flu' first struck in 2017?

And wasn't there a wee war going on at the time?

" A 2007 analysis of medical journals from the period of the pandemic found that the viral infection was no more aggressive than previous influenza strains."

"malnourishment, overcrowded medical camps and hospitals, and poor hygiene, all exacerbated by the recent war, promoted bacterial superinfection"

Nightingale hospitals were a propaganda exercise.

If you remember the headlines, they were supposedly built in 9 days.

At great profit to some tory chums...

Altogether now...
