Wiring for garden office

Thanks RF,

Well, if that's the case I am indeed screwed. I do have some SWA but it's only 4mm I think. I could potentially leave the Kopex for my fibre and add SWA for power. I was hoping I'd finished with the spade though.

I think that might be the way to go to be honest. You might as well utilise the Kopex, and it'll provide a little extra protection to the fibre cable.

Thanks for the help guys, very much appreciated. I think I'll be using the SWA if I can get away with the 4mm, the distance is under 10m and I very much doubt I'll be using anywhere near 32A.

That then leaves me with one question - can I terminate both the SWA and the Kopex on the same IP66 junction boxes or do I need seperate ones?

Cheers, Greg

You might be "succesful" with two core SWA ( Live and Neutral ) with an Earth Rod to provide the Earth at the office/shed.

But better to bite the bullet and lay in a separate run of suitable SWA

Should be fine to terminate both into the same junction box, although it would be better to not have any junctions at all and run the SWA direct from whatever is supplying it into the office consumer unit.
