If you just have two core and earth, and no 3 core and earth, how about this.......

I personally would use a four pole and earth junction box in this scenario - two lights and two switches, whether in one room, or in two adjoining rooms, otherwise you may find the ceiling rose a tad overcrowded, and hard to get the cover back on. makes connecting up easier too.

A suitable candidate is one of those square "outdoor type" plastic junction boxes with five terminals in them, four for the connections and one for the earths, despite the outdoor label, they are also suitable for indoor use...

Why you have decided that what this forum needs are your "contributions" IHNI, but surely not even you are so stupid that you haven't realised that you're wrong.

really? live in, live out and switch wires.. how is that over crowded when that's exactly what they are designed for?

as for training @ evening course. brother-in-law is a sparky so over seeing everything, so you dont have to worry about A) me blowing myself up and B) meeting standards.
