Most modern boilers are very quiet, there is not alot of difference between Vaillant, Worcester Veissmann and other leading brands as far I have noticed

More important is getting the right installer who will make sure the system is cleaned out properly a filter of some form is fitted on the return to boiler and its fitted to the manufacturers specification, this will help with the longevity of your boiler

Subjectively, I would say the Vaillant 6, 8 and 9 range are the quietest.

They have gone to some lengths with foam insulation on most sides inside. Now they've stopped using Wilo pumps it will probably stay quiet for longer too.

Broag Remeha Avantas are particularly quiet.

Edit - compared with Worcs CDis, Juniors, Vaillant Ecotecs and a couple of others.

Like I mean standing in front of them, you might not be aware whether they're on or not. The others aren't exactly noisy, if fans, water, air bubbles etc are behaving, but you tend to know they're burning.

Just fitted my first ATAG and I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was. I have a customer with a Veissmann and that is a very quiet machine too as are Vaillants... My Worcester is a bit whirry and clunky but still a good boiler...

Can't comment on the Intergas but logic would suggest that less moving parts means less noise... It is surprising how noisy a diverter valve motor can be...

vaillants the quietest i'd say by a bats whisker, but most of the top brands are reasonably quiet. Won't be if the installer doesnt flush the system though !
