Life of an atheist..

Do many of you get this? do you really get what it feels like to just be a chemical blob on a bigger chemical blob?

No god!!! no place to go when these batteries run out...! Just non-realisation for a billion years before, and the same blankness for a trillion years after.

Makes me feel a bit tearful as to why we don't rejoice these 70 years more..... and a tiny bit scared of those two voids...

And then there's religious people... well I think they're just a bit more scared of the huge void than I am... so replace it with a cuddly toy... called "god"...

And then there's the self important people... who use "god" to control others...and before you know it, "god" is everything.. and people get really cross about it...but we must remember, "god" is the void !!

He won't tell you lottery numbers... ..

Wake up religious people... wake up !

I have been there. To death. Seriously.

As I was dying, there was a feeling like I knew I was going to die, but a realisation that there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. I thought about my family and felt sadness, but no panic, no panic at all.

I "saw" some flashes of colour, then all went black. I remember nothing more until after being resuscitated by the crash team.

But I have to say that if my terminal death is like that, I'll be well happy. I well appreciate for some, it is not like this.

Some people who die in pain and in horrendous accidents or who are murdered will not experience this.

Einstein wasn't an atheist - and he was brighter than you lot. You are welcome to your nihilist existence. Poor people.

He also didn't believe in quantum mechanics... ur point being?

In studies done in the states, I'll dig out a link if I can be arzzed, they clearly show that atheists know more about religion, than the devout. The conclusion of the study was that atheists weren't blinkered by religion.

But yet they need to find out about it?

The point being that he had far more vision and insight than a pleb like you. Stop rating yourself so highly - you're a nobody.

i agree religion is not what its about. i feared death, like many do,i found it really sad that one day , i would not see my loved ones ever again, but accepted it as part of life and moved on.

God met me, at his appointed time, i had not a clue about religion, and thought it was dead,(and it is dead)I had no interest in it what so ever. there was nothing there for me to say there something good about this.

yes i had an idea,my own idea of what might be god, but never much gave it thought, when i was asked once are you a christian,i said, well i suppose i am, i did not have clue what being a christian meant. i said becuase i thought its was our culture to be called christian, like a labell. but i was the worst of heathens.

at Gods appointed time, he called me. I could not find him,in a million years. he called me not becuase i was better than anyone else, but simply becuase he saw that i was ready,to accept him. God shows no partiality, he loves us all the same, perfectly.

i just simply asked God if your there, reveal your self to me. and he did,
and he touched my soul, whith love i never knew. it was unmistakble,
I woke upin the morning, and struggled whith it,my head was doubting, this is to good to be true. God is alive, he exists. but in my heart i knew it was true. the touch he gave could not be denied. i felt changed. inside.
i still had problems in life , but it was the start of a fellowship, friendship whith god. the gift of eternal life, starts here , the life he promised, is confirmed by the holy spirit, that gentle dove that confirms we are his.
and moves in to the soul to renew , comfort , strengthen, guide us.

i been christian over 20 years now,and yes ups,and downs, but the past couple of years he done a work in me, that i can love people more like god loves people, god knows we wont be perfect in this life, but he accepts us as we are, and if we are willing will change and free us from the sin that slaves us, to be truely free.
Jesus loved us and died for us while we were yet still sinners, and god haters. we love our sin, it has a pleasure, but it has consequences,of our own making. i been there to i have loved my sin more than god,and sin makes you repel from the light, and truth of gods word. but by his grace he helps me over come my weakness.

Jesus is real guys.

I never have rated myself, but at least I managed a few qualifications.

Pleb :-
"an ordinary person, especially one from the lower social classes"

I guess that is true, but an educated one, what does that make you?[/quote]

Whole point of what?

ermm, well most of rational human thought has been based around examining the evidence.

You abandoned the faith of your homeland.
Now Islam fills the void. You better be scared because hell is coming your way friendo.

Einstein knew not to rule out the extra dimension as he fully realised the limtations of his own brain.

Just like the two psychologists who examined the case of the little boy who returned from a past life and knew exactly who he was in that past life.

One couldn't grasp it because he dealt with science which limited his intelligence. It was very amusing watching him bash his head against the brick wall.

The other chap was on another level and could look through the wall and capture snippets from the other side.
