Political correctness "The term political correctness, in modern usage, is used to describe language, policies, or measures that are intended to avoid offense or disadvantage to particular groups in society."

If that is the definition you subscribe to, then it doesn't include preventing anybody from celebrating Christmas.

Though as nobody has shown evidence that anyone has been prevented from celebrating Christmas, it is very much a red herring. Or perhaps an urban myth.

And that article does not say that you are prevented from celebrating Christmas.

It refers to what they think a report will say, which "is expected to be published"

Christmas banned in oxford....

If the xmas tree is not there then how can people concregate to sing carols? They are effectively banned from celebrating Xmas by stealth.
And a Christmas tree after 4 years of war now stands in the main square of Alleppo. If Cameron and the "arab spring" rebel supporting libertards had got their way then the Xmas tree would never have been there.

As that is all you seem to be concentrating on and it would appear to be your sole definition of political correctness,

has anyone maintained that they are prevented from celebrating Christmas?

your sole definition of political correctness

False.

I have repeatedly asked for "something you want to do, that you think you can't because of what you call Political Correctness"

Surely there is somebody, somewhere, among those who moan about Political Correctness that has actually got something to moan about? Or are they all just regurgitating stories they're heard about from the right-wing media?

Come on. let's have a real-life example from personal experience.

That may not be the definition of political correctness therefore not the criterion.

We may not be actually prevented from doing something but have to put up with fatuous and spurious nannying in daily life - such as replacing Christmas with another word.

If the lack of law enforcement in Rotherham was due to the fear of accusations of racism then that is a good example. Whilst I have not been prevented from doing anything, a lot of girls have been abused when that should have been prevented.

So I suppose your definition excludes this as well

Interesting that you choose to exclude things that others might think are very relevant to the discussion of what some call "political correctness"

I offered several examples to which you did not respond.

I therefore presumed that you agreed with them.
