The Hopkins quote was referring to muslim countries, you introduced the Gulf bit, no Jordan is not on the Persian Gulf but it is on the Gulf of Aqaba. I fail to see the relevance of its geographical location

It may have some thing to with the fact that Jordan , Lebanon and Turkey have a land border with 2 countries that are in the middle of a civil war ??

in most cases a geographical location does have relevance ?? I would suggest that if there was a civil war in say Germany , those trying to flee may well cross a land border into neighbouring countries irrespective of the wishes of that country

Interesting that so much is made of 1.5 million signing a petition. By simple maths that means around 63 million didn't sign it.

It's all just the modern phenomenon of "being offended", and the equally modern way of easily expressing that offence from the comfort of ones lounge or quickly on the bus ride home. All it takes is a #i'moffended tag or a Like on ones favourite social media outlet.

But when it comes to protest for change for things that really matter here .... education, hope for school leavers and young adults, doctors appointments, NHS waiting times, the homeless, social housing, living wage, pensions, care for OAPs, closing of factories and decimation of whole communities, you know ..... those things that affect us every single day, then non of these poxy armchair socialists do-fukking-gooders are nowhere to be seen.
