I don't think so. It is easier for these terrorists to arm themselves with a vehicle and some blades than guns and bombs.

I read somewhere this morning, may have been the BBC, that 2 people from his community had tipped off the police? Just nothing was followed up.

I just read bbc site, apparently it was followed up, but can't find any further evidence that he was planning anything. So he was deemed as low risk. Looks like police did their work and community did their job as well. Maybe both should do more??

The bigger picture is all the gangs and crooks that can, and then guns will be even easier to get hold of, and then the terrorists will be able to get hold of guns as well.

I do not believe that either of the two scenarios contained in your original question would make life either easier or harder for terrorists - in my view, it would make no difference to them.

I suspect it's more to do with the multiculuralism issues rather than the Iraq war. Some people will use any excuse to justify their actions, but as Labours obsession with multiculturalism encouraged seperate identities, that intensified their notion of being Muslim, rather than being part of the British community.

You can't prevent those determined to blow up or run down with more armed police, but can put an end to it quicker.
Wasn't this latest attack ended within minutes and the police praised for their fast action? Fast action enabled am sure by the increase or armed police last year. The faster they are on the scene, the quicker things like stabbings are ended.

I'm not sure what you are getting at?
Are you suggesting that a lack of integration automatically results in some Muslims becoming suicide bombers?

My theory is that the vulnerable and disaffected are more likely to become ideal targets/candidates.
