Are you another anti-landlord whinger, yes safety comes at a price, at the same time money does not grow on trees, if it did then everyone would own their own houses and no one would need to rent out or live in council towers. We provide a very important service whilst all you can do is whinge.Ahh Safety comes at a price, looks like your a landlord.omg
Currently a landlord (2 houses,1 shop and 1 pub) and defo not a whinger. Are you another anti-landlord whinger,
worry not, I need to get mains linked ones any way, as alarm going off in kitchen cannot be heard anywhere near bedroom, hence i need to cover all angles even though the recommendation was for just one heat detector in the kitchen and a fire door.
Does this deal on ebay sounds good, I need 3 smoke and 1 heat

But Dave, how do i resolve the issue of smoke alarm detector going off in the lobby next to kitchen, or may be I omit it there altogether, the idea was if the heat detector in the kitchen responds only after a fire breaks out, at least the smoke detector would pick up smoke well before a fire breaks out, so this detector is about 4 meters away from the cooker, and cooker has a extractor hood that is vented to outside.
Any sane person should stop and think this is just morally repugnant - the cuts to the services. Listening to radio Police chiefs were mentioning how the cuts are affecting mental health. The officers have to deal with greater workload and now see so many more incidents that it starts to wear them down leading to mental health problems. I would say it would apply to firefighters as well.
The cuts are disgusting, irresponsible and shameful and I salute all those who work in the police, NHS, firefighters etc who have to deal with this. We are a better country than this.
And I will thank the council of Kensington and Chelsea for the following efficient and humane work:

Who opened up the The Westway Sports Centre, Crowthorne Road as the main reception area for the families evacuated from the area around the tower,
Who opened up the Kensington Leisure Centre to be used as a rest stop and staging area to support the emergency services and the local community.
Who on day one contacted hotels to book rooms for families unable or unwilling to use the reception centre even for one night.
I have every respect for the volunteers who brought food clothes and other essential items to the location. But these are one part of the process, there is a lot of back room activity that is equalliy important but it activity that can only be carried out in the incident room and thus is not visible to the media so it happens unseen.
Ealing council ( Labour) steps in with aspects of the relief operation, following protests.

How many of the residents were migrants?... and housed and clothed these migrants in the first place.
